SPECIAL TICKET CHECKING DRIVE ON KONKAN RLY TRAINS

A “Fortress Check” ticket checking drive was conducted by Konkan Railway officials in its Ratnagiri region yesterday to curb ticketless travel. The surprise check was conducted in 12619 Matsyagandha Express, 16345 Netravati Express, 50104 Ratnagiri-Dadar passenger train, 50105 Diva-Sawantwadi passenger train, and 50106 Sawantwadi -Diva passenger train.

A dozen TTEs along with Commercial Supervisors and a posse of RPF staff conducted the fortress check and apprehended 82 ticketless travelers and collected a fine of Rs.26,333/- from them.

Passengers are urged to travel on Konkan Railway trains with a valid and confirmed ticket.
