HON’BLE RAILWAY MINISTER DISTRIBUTED AWARDS ON “SWAACH BHARAT” DRAWINGS TO KRCL EMPLOYEES CHILDREN

The Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, distributed awards to 10 children of Konkan Railway employees who were declared winners in the Drawing Competition on the topic “Swaach Bharat – A step towards cleanliness “. The awards were given by the Hon’ble Minister at a function organized at Kankavali station on Sunday, 11th January, 2015.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, had recently launched “Swacch Bharat” Mission. In order to spread awareness about the Mission and inculcate a sense of cleanliness among the children, Konkan Railway had organized a Drawing Competition on the topic. More than 200 children had participated in the competition.

The drawings/paintings of 12 children were selected and have been put forth in the form of Desk Calendar for the year 2015.
