With the initiative of Hon'ble Railway Minister, Shri Suresh Prabhu, this proposal which was conceived jointly by Railway Ministry & Government of Maharashtra, is finally seeing light of the day with the identification of Shapoorji Pallonji Corporation Pvt. Ltd. (SPCPL) as PPP Partner of KRCL.

The signing of MOU function will take place at the Sahyadri Guest House, Mumbai on 14th August 2016 at 10:30 Hrs wherein Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra,Shri Devendra Fadnavis,  Hon'ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu and Hon'ble Minister for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Shri Anant Geete along with other dignitaries will be present.

However, a parallel function through Video-Conferencing has also been organized at Bandal High School, Bahadur Sheikh Naka, Chiplun wherein important local dignitaries along with Shri B B Nikam, Regional Railway Manager, Ratnagiri will be present for the video-conferencing function at the same time to witness the event. The details of this Project will be given to the Media at the venue.
