On the occasion of foundation day 2016, Konkan Railway is bringing out a Coffee Table Book, highlighting 25 years of its journey.  The book is aptly titled; Konkan Railway - Eventful 25 Years.
As the name suggests, the book contains chapters titled; Saga Extraordinaire,  covering the historical aspect and the construction phase; The Mesmerizing Journey,  highlighting the picturesque locations of the Konkan region;   Battling the Odds,  highlights the difficult terrain;  Daily Grind, lists the day  to day affairs of the railway to maintain the route; Financial Turn-Around, emphasis the financial success story of Konkan Railway; Spirit of Innovation, reflects that innovation is a way of life the Konkan Railway; Aiming High, projects the infrastructure works undertaken; Dream Destinations , Clean and Green Railway, the Socio–Economic  Impact, chapters  talk about the role Konkan Railway plays in the region.  Last but not the least the chapter on Bollywood Connection showcases the motion pictures shoots taken on the route.   All the chapters are vividly represented through photographs and information in text format
The coffee Table Book is published by Konkan Railway and  released on    15th October; 2016 at the hands of Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu , Hon’ble Minster of Railways.
