Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu, has always been the source of inspiration and a guiding force for Konkan Railway in not only augmenting traffic facilities but also in providing sufficient Passenger Amenities to its travelling passengers. Konkan Railway has always been at the forefront to ensure that no stone is left unturned in attaining aims and objectives of Customer Satisfaction, apart from ensuring comfort, safety and security to its esteemed passengers.

YES Bank, India’s 5th Largest Private Sector Bank, as a part of its flagship CSR intervention ‘Livelihood and Water Security’ has installed a 300 lph capacity community water purification system at the Kankavali Station, where around  1,858 passengers originate every day. This launch closely follows the World Water Day which was observed on March 22, 2016. YES Bank has committed to install 1000 Water Purification Systems at Railway Stations across India in partnership with Indian Railways by 2018. On Konkan Railway they have installed 66 numbers of Water Filters.

Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister for Railways has commended the unique initiative of YES Bank in partnership with Indian Railways in providing clean drinking water to the travelling public.

Accordingly, a Water Purification System will be inaugurated at Kankavali Railway Station on Konkan Railway on 25th March 2016 at 15:00 Hrs by Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister for Railways wherein the dignitaries of YES Bank and Konkan Railway Officials will also be present.
