In pursuit of the vision for making a new India, the Central Vigilance Commission as the apex integrity institution of the country, endeavours to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life.

As a part of this initiative, Vigilance Awareness Week was observed on Konkan Railway from 29th  October to 3rd  November, 2018 to create awareness among the railway staff in particular and public in general about the importance of honesty and transparency. The theme of this year's Vigilance Awareness Week is 'Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India'.

Vigilance Awareness  Week on Konkan Railway began with an Integrity Pledge by all Executives and staff. During the Vigilance Awareness  Week, various activities were undertaken by Konkan Railway like quiz, essay writting and elocution competitions on the theme "Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India". Walkathon and skits were organised in the regions to spread an awareness among all staff and general public. Also lecture was delivered by Shri Sanjay Kumar Pankaj, SDGM & CVO Central Railway on the same subject.  The Vigilance Awareness Week was concluded by publishing the Vigilance Bulletin “Sachetak” by Shri Sanjay Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director/Konkan Railway.
