This campaign focuses on promoting cleanliness and sustainability within the railway ecosystem, reinforcing Konkan Railway's commitment to maintaining a clean and green environment for passengers and employees alike.
The "Swachhata Hi Sewa Pakhwara" began with a Swachhata Pledge undertaken by all employees across Konkan Railway, reaffirming their dedication to cleanliness. The key highlights of the activities carried out during the Pakhwara are as follows:

To engage the public, various awareness initiatives, such as passenger awareness programs and Prabhat Pheris, were organized at railway stations, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness in public spaces.

Health camps offering blood pressure and diabetes screening were organized for vendors and housekeeping staff at stations, ensuring their well-being while they contribute to maintaining cleanliness.

Special cleaning drives were conducted in trains, railway tracks, offices, stations, pantry cars, railway colonies, depots, lobbies, and health units. Executives and staff actively participated in these efforts, ensuring that all areas were thoroughly cleaned.

An intensive drive was carried out to maintain cleanliness at all food stalls, rest houses, and running rooms over Konkan Railway. Railway officials conducted inspections at catering stalls, base kitchens, and pantry cars to ensure that food served to passengers was prepared in hygienic conditions, with a focus on proper disposal of garbage and catering waste.

A dedicated effort was made to clean and maintain toilet blocks at all stations, coaching depots, and offices. Officials conducted various inspections to ensure overall cleanliness, resulting in tangible improvements.

Waste to Art Initiative: In a unique drive promoting sustainability, Konkan Railway organized a "Waste to Art" initiative, where artwork was created from scrap materials at stations and yards by Employees. This effort highlighted the principles of Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle.
