ROB at LC-47, Davorlim
Government of Goa and Konkan Railway have agreed to construct 5 Nos. Of Road Over Bridges at various Level Crossings around Madgaon City  in South Goa District on 50:50 cost sharing basis.

Level Crossing No.47 situated across Davorlim and Rawanfond Road is one of the busy gate and the road cuts across  4 railway tracks including Madgaon-Balli line of KR , Madgaon-Chandor line of South Westren Railway line and two tracks used for coach maintenance. Due to this road users have to wait for long durations continuously. As a relief to the public, Government of Goa and Konkan Railway have come together to construct the ROB with long spans using Steel and Concrete Composite girders covering all four railway tracks on 50:50 cost sharing basis. The proposed 490m long bridge is being constructed along the existing road and to minimise the area of land acqusition, it is proposed to use the latest technology of “Reinforced earth“ embankment for the approaches. Due to this technology, only 4700 sqm land needs to be acquired along the existing road where there are no structures or buildings. The overall estimated cost of the ROB including the approaches is Rs. 28.24crores.
