Quality infrastructure and amenities are the keys for improved passenger satisfaction. Konkan Railway is focusing on enhancing the services and infrastructure to achieve high quality passenger satisfaction.
To augment the capacity of the line & to reduce bottlenecks, Konkan Railway has taken up the project for “Construction of 10 new stations & 8 Loop Lines” at various places over its route.  
As a part of this Capacity Augmentation work, Konkan Railway has commissioned Loop Line no. 2 at Sawarda Railway station. By this newly commissioned loop line, train crossing capacity at Sawarda station will increase and this will also improve the efficiency in train operations.
