LAND LOSERS

• A total of 4,850 hectares spread over

760km was required to build the line

• It was a difficult task to persuade people

to give up property that belonged to their

families for generations. But convinced by

the importance of the project many came

forward and gave it up voluntarily

• Since we have acquired land from more

than 40,000 land losers, we have adopted

a policy of giving preference in

recruitment to land losers
