Rolling rocks are no danger! At locations

where rock cuttings have small or

medium-sized boulder strata, Medium

Strength Steel Boulder Netting along the

length of tracks catch the falling rock and

rubble.

The netting is a mechanically

double-twisted hexagonal shaped

galvanized wire mesh with a tensile

strength of 35

KN/m (100mm x 120mm sized with

Polyvinyl chloride coating)

How it helps

• It prevents big-sized boulders, detached

rocks from directly rolling onto the rail

tracks by guiding them towards the

bottom of the cutting slope.
