Konkan Railway (KRCL) successfully detected a theft case onboard Train No. 11004 Tutari Express through the alertness and prompt action of its staff.

Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run following special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Holi Festival 2026. Details are as under.

1) Train no. 01171 / 01172 Mumbai CSMT - Sawantwadi Road - Mumbai CSMT Special  (Weekly) :

Konkan Railway continues to carry out intensive and sustained ticket-checking drives across its network to prevent ticketless and irregular travel, thereby ensuring safe, smooth, and comfortable journeys for bona fide passengers.

During January 2026, KRCL organized 1014 special ticket checking drives, detecting 44,736 cases of unauthorized / irregular travellers. An amount of ₹ 2.53 Cr was collected from these passengers towards due railway fare and penalty.
