Functions of Engineering Department
Engineering Department is responsible for:
- Maintenance of Track, Bridges, Tunnels, Stations and other structures.
- Construction of new stations, additional loop lines and other structures.
- Construction of sidings, Road Over Bridges (ROB), Road Under Bridges (RUB), etc.
Track Maintenance System
The Track Maintenance System on Konkan Railway is fully mechanised. The maintenance system is broadly divided into three distinct tiers.
Duty List
CPM(IT) (Mr Sunilkumar Rathod)
1. PDMC Activities - Business Development for KR ERP implementation and other IT services for revenue projects, including coordination for project execution with concerned officers. Marketing strategy for ERP application for implementation and monetization. Presentation, demos and customer meet for promotion of ERP.
2. Manpower Hiring for Projects.
3. Information Security, CISO Activities, DPDP, IT Act, CCMP.
4. DISHA, Hindi Library, Thin Clients, RL Module (Migration of Modules).
5. Database Management.
