As a part of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s “Swachh Bharat Mission” initiative, Indian Railway has to maintain Railway premises and trains as well as clean surrounding areas.

As a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, Konkan Railway is conducting a Swachhta Pakhwara from 16th to 30th September 2021. Shri Sanjay Gupta, CMD/KRCL took the Swachhta Pledge and conducted the Prabhat Pheri along with Directors, Executives & Staff at Konkan Rail Vihar, Nerul, Navi Mumbai on 16/09/2021. This followed by a workshop on Effective implementation of Swachhta Abhiyan. Tree plantation drives were held at various stations.

During this Swachhata Pakhwara, Seminars will be conducted on Sanitation and upkeep of Railway Stations. Cleanliness Campaigns at Konkan Railway stations will be undertaken duly involving the active participation of Staff, NGOs, Charitable trust/Institutions and other social organizations.

Various activities that are being undertaken during Pakhwara include Swachh Awareness, Swachh Samvad with Public and In-house, Swachh Stations with intensive Cleanliness Drives, Swachh Parisar, Swachh Railgaadi, Swachh Ahar and Swachh Neer.
