RAILWAY  MINISTER  REVIEWS  WORKING  OF  KONKAN  RLY

 
Sri Suresh  Prabhu, Hon’ble  Minister for Railways,  while on his first  visit to Mumbai after taking charge of the Railway Ministry, reviewed the working of Konkan Railway. CMD of Konkan Railway had a detailed meeting with the Hon’ble Minister and all aspects of the working of Konkan Railway were discussed.
The Hon’ble Minister has directed Konkan Railway to prepare a long term development plan and submit to the Ministry.  Further as an immediate measure, Konkan Railway was directed to improve availability of passenger amenities on its stations. It was assured that the proposal for Electrification would be cleared by the Ministry very early .

With the recent accidents on Konkan Railway, safety has been a matter of concern , which was also reviewed by the Hon’ble Minister.  CMD, Konkan Railway , outlined an action plan which has already been put into action to prevent accidents in future.

With the Hon’ble Railway Minister taking a keen interest in the working of Konkan Railway, it is set to see better days .
