Tejas Express – A memorable Journey to Tourist Paradise.

Konkan Railway is playing a key role in the integrated development of tourist destination on the picturesque beaches of Goa. It has opened new frontiers for Indian tourism as the places of tourists interest on the Western coast now have better access. In a region abounding in tourist destination, a train ride through the valleys or mountains on Konkan Railway allowing tourists to pack more in their limited vacations. The West Coast offers tremendous variety-hill stations historical forts-both on land and sea, sun kisses beaches, pilgrim centres, refreshing greenery. There, the azure blue-green of the Konkan belt encourage the adventurous to plunge in. The stretch along the Arabian Sea, makes you experience love at first sight.

Take a de-stressing languid stroll amongst dense coconut trees on Vengurla’s fine white sands with cashew, jackfruit and mango orchards. To reach these beautiful destinations, Indian Railway offer a very comfortable and luxurious journey by introducing Tejas Express over Konkan Railway, which makes your journey memorable.
To boost the development of tourism on Konkan region, Hon’ble Minister for Railways   Shri Suresh Prabhu has taken a decision to start India’s first full AC Luxury train called “TEJAS EXPRESS”. This Luxury train has modern facilities on-board like LED TV, Wide windows to enjoy the natural beauty of coastal Konkan.
The Tejas Express operate between Mumbai and Karmali (Goa) five days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) during non-monsoon period and three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday) during monsoon from 10th June to 31st October. During monsoon, this train leaves Mumbai at 05:00 hrs in the morning and reaches Karmali at 15:30 hrs and during Non-monsoon at 13:30 hrs. The train is having the scheduled stoppage at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri and Kudal stations.
