Monsoon season in the Konkan region brings significant operational challenges due to difficult terrain and heavy rainfall. Prioritizing passenger safety and uninterrupted train operations, Konkan Railway has undertaken extensive monsoon preparedness measures across its network.

Konkan Railway’s action plan includes infrastructure strengthening, geo-safety measures, real-time monitoring, intensified patrolling, and emergency response preparedness. Konkan Railway remains in close coordination with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for daily weather updates.

To ensure safety during the monsoon season, sectional speeds are regulated and the Monsoon Timetable will remain in force from 15th June to 20th October, 2026. Passengers are advised to check train arrival and departure timings before commencing the journey.
