Commercial Plots - Freight Marketing

To facilitate the customers to handle inward and outward rail bound consignment, allotment of commercial plots on license basis can be examined for stacking of their consignment. The procedure followed is stipulated as under:

1. Party should apply to Chief Commercial Manager for allotment of commercial plot on license basis with the following details:
   1. Name of station
   2. Requirement of area of the plot
   3. Trafffic commitment during the next few years
   4. Details of traffic to be offered like commodity etc.
2. On receipt of such application, land suitable to be allotted shall be identified and competitive bidding process shall be followed by means of an open tender through IREPS to ensure transparency.
3.  Tender committee consisting of three Head of Departments shall scrutinise the bids received in the tender and select the most suitable applicant fulfilling the requisite criteria.
4. Quoted license fee and security deposit shall be payable by the applicant on finalization of the tender.
5. On allotment, the applicant is required to execute the agreement with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited regarding licensing of the commercial plot.
