It has been decided by the Ministry of Railways to extend the services of Train No. 16585 / 16586 Sir M Visvesvaraya  Terminal  Bengaluru - Mangaluru Central - Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal  Bengaluru Express upto Murdeshwar as Train No. 16585 / 16586 Sir M Visvesvaraya  Terminal  Bengaluru - Murdeshwar - Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal  Bengaluru Express with increase in frequency to Daily. Train No. 16586 Journey commences from 17.09.2023 will originate from Murdeshwar instead of Mangaluru Central.

Train no. 16585 Sir M Visvesvaraya  Terminal  Bengaluru - Mangaluru Central Express will leave ex. Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 20.15 hrs from 16.09.2023. Train will reach Murdeshwar at 13:35 hrs on the next day.

Train no. 16586 Murdeshwar - Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Express will leave ex. Murdeshwar at 14.10 hrs from 17.09.2023. Train will reach Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal  Bengaluru at 07:15 hrs on the next day.

There is no change in timing of stations between Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru and Padil. Stoppages for the extended portion of the train are Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Mookambika Road Byndoor and Bhatkal stations.

Composition : Total 19 Coaches - First AC - 01 Coach, 2 Tier AC - 01 Coach, 3 Tier AC - 02 Coaches, Sleeper 09 Coaches, General - 04 Coaches, SLR - 02.
