Konkan Railway continues its commitment to cleanliness and sustainability through Special Campaign 5.0, which has now entered its 3rd impactful Week. Aligning with Indian Railways’ nationwide drive to promote cleanliness & sustainability. Konkan Railway intensifies its efforts through focused activities, awareness drives and community engagement, further strengthening its dedication to environmental responsibility and public awareness.

Under this campaign, various activities were undertaken across the Konkan Railway region to reinforce the spirit of collective responsibility and environmental stewardship.

At Konkan Rail Academy / Madgaon a cleanliness drive was organized to maintain hygiene and enhance a clean learning environment, reflecting KRCL’s commitment to a cleaner, greener future. Similarly, at Chiplun Station, employees and volunteers participated in a cleanliness drive under Special Campaign 5.0, embodying the message — “Small actions, big impact!”

As part of its CSR initiatives, Konkan Railway organized a Soft Skills Training Session at the Ramakrishna Hegde Skill Development Centre, Udupi, with active participation from students of Kotichennayya Pre-Army Training School, Hanehalli Village, Barkur. The session aimed to empower youth with confidence, communication skills, and future readiness, reinforcing KRCL’s commitment to holistic development and community engagement.

Alongside skill-building, the campaign placed strong emphasis on cleanliness, hygiene, and responsible environmental practices. Students were educated on waste segregation, proper disposal of plastics, and personal hygiene habits, linking these practices to broader environmental conservation goals. They enthusiastically took the Swachhata Pledge and participated in a hands-on cleanliness drive, demonstrating that individual actions collectively contribute to community well-being. This approach reflects KRCL’s belief that education, awareness, and active participation together drive lasting impact on society and the environment.

Through these diverse initiatives, Konkan Railway continues to uphold its mission of contributing towards a sustainable environment and encouraging public participation in cleanliness drives across its network.
