Konkan Railway Intensifies Ticket Checking Drives and Strong Action Taken Against Ticketless Travel

Konkan Railway has intensified ticket checking drives across its network to curb ticketless travel and to ensure a safe, orderly and comfortable travel experience for authorized passengers.

From April 2025 to September 2025, 5,493 special ticket checking drives were conducted. During these drives, 1,82,781 cases of unauthorized / irregular travel were detected, resulting in a recovery of ₹12.81 crore as railway fare and penalty.

In October 2025 alone, 920 special checking drives were carried out, during which 42,645 unauthorized / irregular travellers were detected. An amount of ₹2.40 crore was collected as fare and penalty.

Konkan Railway appeals to all passengers to purchase valid tickets before commencing their journey. Travelling without a proper ticket is a punishable offence and ticket checking drives will continue with enhanced focus across the entire route. Konkan Railway continues to uphold passenger-centric services, safety, and efficient train operations.
