Konkan Railway conducts Family Counselling Session for Employees at Madgaon

Konkan Railway organised a Family Counselling Session at Madgaon on 13.11.2025 for the families of Loco Pilots, Train Managers, Pointsman, Frontline staff, critical for Train operations. The initiative sought to sensitise families about the demanding nature of these essential roles, where precision, alertness, and emotional stability are crucial to ensuring safe and smooth train operations.
The session emphasised the significance of mental well-being, family support, and a healthy work–life balance in enabling employees to perform their duties effectively and with focus.
Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, CMD/KRCL, addressed the gathering, underscoring how the safety of thousands of passengers every day rests on the shoulders of employees who work under challenging schedules and high operational pressure. He highlighted the invaluable role families play in helping them remain mentally balanced and emotionally strong.
Smt. Manisha Jha, Chairperson KRWC & SSA, shared insights on holistic family wellness, the importance of compassionate communication, and building a nurturing home environment that empowers employees to give their best at work.
Ms Asha Shetty, Regional Railway Manager/Karwar, along with senior KRCL officials, actively participated in the counseling session. An open forum was also held, where families engaged in direct one-on-one interactions with Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, CMD/KRCL, sharing their suggestions, concerns and queries. This dialogue provided meaningful insights and strengthened the mutual understanding between KRCL and the families of its frontline staff.
