Good news for passengers!!! It has been decided to run  the following special trains in co-ordination with South East Central Railway to clear the extra rush of passengers during Christmas and New Year. Details are as under :

Train No.  08241 / 08242 Bilapsur - Madgaon Jn. - Bilaspur Express Special :

Train no. 08241 Bilaspur - Madgaon Jn. Express Special will leave from Bilaspur  at 14:45 hrs every Saturday on 20th & 27th December 2025 and 03rd & 10th January 2026. The train will reach Madgaon Jn.  at 02:15 hrs on the third day.

Train no. 08242 Madgaon Jn. - Bilaspur Express Special will leave from Madgaon Jn. at 05:30 hrs every Monday on 22nd & 29th December 2025 and 05th & 12th January 2026. The train will reach Bilaspur at 16:00 hrs on the next day.

Train no. 08241 will halt at Bhatapara, Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Nashik Road,Kalyan, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhawadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim & Karmali stations. 

Train no. 08242 will halt at all above stations and have an additional halt at Igatpuri station.

Composition : Total 18 LHB Coaches  = 2 Tier AC - 01 Coach, 3 Tier AC - 08 Coaches,  3 Tier AC Economy - 02 Coaches, Sleeper - 02 Coaches, General - 03 Coaches, SLR/D - 01, Generator Car - 01.

The bookings for Train no. 08242 will open on 14/12/2025 at all Passenger Reservation Systems (PRS), internet and IRCTC website.
