RPF’s Proactive Operations Strengthen Passenger Safety and Security on Konkan Railway

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Konkan Railway continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of passengers through sustained vigilance, prompt action, and people-centric initiatives.

Through its focused and result-oriented operations, the RPF has delivered significant outcomes across passenger safety, crime prevention, and humanitarian assistance. Under Operation Amanat, RPF successfully traced and returned left-behind belongings of 47 passengers, valued at ₹27.93 lakh, reaffirming public trust in railway security systems.

Demonstrating its commitment to child safety and social responsibility, the RPF rescued 42 minor children under Operation Nanhe Farishte and handed them over to the Child Helpline for care and rehabilitation, preventing potential exploitation and ensuring their protection.

As part of its intensified drive against illegal activities, Operation Satark led to the seizure of 3,146 bottles of illicit liquor valued at ₹5.31 lakh, along with the arrest of 38 bootleggers, thereby curbing unlawful trade on railway premises.

In its continued efforts to maintain law and order, the RPF detected 142 cases under the ACP category, resulting in the arrest and prosecution of offenders under Section 141 of the Railway Act. Further reinforcing its life-saving mandate, RPF personnel saved the lives of three passengers through timely intervention under the Jeevan Raksha initiative.

Through sustained vigilance, the RPF arrested nine criminals involved in passenger luggage theft and recovered stolen belongings valued at ₹67.88 lakh, further strengthening passenger confidence and safety.

These achievements reflect the RPF’s unwavering dedication and vigilance in safeguarding passengers and railway assets, contributing significantly to a safe, secure, and passenger-friendly travel experience on Konkan Railway.
