JOB DESCRIPTION OF REGIONAL RAILWAY MANAGER:


The Regional Railway Manager is the administrative head of the respective Region. The functions of the RRM include planning and monitoring train movement, conducting safety drives, punctuality monitoring, constant monitoring of passenger as well as goods train traffic, close co-ordination with Zonal Railways & Railway Board, planning of traffic facility works, marketing & business development activities and general administrative work.


The RRM is also responsible for maintaining friendly and cordial relationship with the travelling and trading public and redressing their grievances. He/She is responsible for monitoring all freight loading and its growth, marketing for additional freight traffic, demurrage and wharfage, freight rate and related issues like sidings, siding charges, shunting charges, and other ancillary charges, and development of Goods Sheds and Freight Terminals.


Regional Railway Manager also co-ordinate and deal with coaching services like passenger traffic, enhance growth in passenger traffic, catering & commercial contracts, parcel/Luggage, ticket checking, PRS & UTS, improving passenger amenities at the stations, coaching refund cases, RCT claims etc.
