Konkan Rail Academy conducted mandatory safety training for safety category staff as / before they get due for the same throughout the year and Initial and other safety courses are conducted as per recruitment / requirement of KRCL.
Various safety Courses offered for different Departments related to railway operations are categorized into Refresher, Initial, Pre-Promotional and Promotional courses.
Operating Department:
Refresher courses are held for following Operating Staff
• Station Master – 15 days duration
• Train Manager -13 days duration
• Pointsman / Shunting Jamadar – 06 days duration
• Train Clerk – 06 days duration
• G&SR for all safety staff – 09 days duration
Initial courses in Operating department are held for duration as mentioned below:
• Station Master – 90 days duration
• Train Manager – 50 days duration
• Pointsman – 24 days duration
• Traffic Gateman – 08 days duration
Pre Promotional courses in Operating department are also conducted :
• Station Master – 18 days
• Train Manager – 18 days
• Assistant Operating Manager – 15 days
