Konkan Railway has introduced the Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) car transportation service between Kolad (Maharashtra) and Verna (Goa). The service, which began on 23.08.2025 ahead of the Ganapati festival, provides passengers the facility to travel with their vehicles on the same train, offering a convenient and unique travel option.

The first train carried nineteen passengers, along with their vehicles. A dedicated AC coach and Second seating coach was provided, ensuring comfort for passengers while their vehicles were securely placed on board. The train departed from Kolad at 15:40 hrs on 23.08.2025. This service balances both convenience and safety.

This initiative reflects Konkan Railway’s continued effort to provide passenger friendly services, staying aligned with its motto “We Care, We Serve”.

For all notified Ro-Ro Car Transportation Service trips up to 11.09.2025, registrations are accepted up to 3 days prior to the date of journey till 17:00 hrs (excluding the date of journey). For details and booking, please visit konkanrailway.com.
