Diwali / Chhath Pooja Arrangements over Konkan Railway route

Konkan Railway extends warm wishes for a joyous and safe Diwali and Chhath Pooja to all passengers and their families.These festivals, celebrating light, faith and togetherness, hold special significance for millions who travel home to be with their loved ones.

To meet the increased travel demand during this festive season, 64 special trains are being operated on routes connecting Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Hubballi, Bengaluru, Yesvantpur, Panvel, Thiruvananthapuram, Sawantwadi, Madgaon, and Chiplun.

Additionally, 55 special trains are already running on routes between Muzaffarpur, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Udhna and destinations including Vasco-da-Gama, Coimbatore, Madgaon, and Mangaluru.

The Railways, as the lifeline of the nation, remains deeply connected to the people it serves, bridging distances and bringing families and communities closer during this festive season.

Regular announcements and passenger updates are being made at stations to ensure smooth communication and convenience for travellers.

For security and crowd management, a dedicated team of 65 GRP personnel is deployed in the Ratnagiri section, while RPF personnel in the Karwar region are maintaining constant vigilance to ensure passenger safety and smooth operations.

Senior officials of KRCL are actively overseeing station operations and festive arrangements, personally inspecting facilities, monitoring crowd management, passenger services, and interacting with travellers to gather feedback, thereby ensuring high standards of safety, comfort, and overall preparedness during the festive season.

Ticket checking staff are working round the clock to ensure a comfortable and secure journey for authorized passengers. Additional ticket booking counters have been opened at key stations to efficiently manage the festive rush.

As the lamps of Diwali illuminate homes and the devotion of Chhath Pooja fills the air, Konkan Railway takes pride in being a part of every traveller’s journey, connecting hearts, homes, and hopes this festive season.
