RPF Madgaon Successfully Recovers and Returns Lost Mobile Phone to Passenger

Under the ongoing passenger facilitation initiative “Operation Amanat”, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Post Madgaon, successfully traced and returned an Apple iPhone 13 to a woman passenger after it had accidentally fallen onto the railway track at Madgaon station.

On 04.11.2025, a female passenger, Ms. Midhila, was traveling by Train No. 56615 Madgaon Jn. – Mangaluru Central Passenger from Madgaon to Mangalore. Soon after the departure of the train from Madgaon station, the passenger noticed that her mobile phone had slipped and fallen onto the tracks below the platform. She promptly contacted the RPF Post, Madgaon, to report the incident and sought assistance.

Acting immediately on the information received, RPF Constable Shri Omprakash Meena conducted a thorough search below the platform area and successfully located the mobile phone. The passenger was informed about the recovery and was requested to return to Madgaon. Upon her arrival, due verification and documentation procedures were completed at the RPF Post, after which the mobile phone was safely handed over to her.

The passenger expressed her gratitude to the RPF team at Madgaon for their prompt action, cooperation, and dedicated service in ensuring the safe return of her valuable personal belongings.

Under Operation Amanat, RPF personnel continue to help passengers in retrieving lost or misplaced belongings, reinforcing trust and confidence among rail users. Konkan Railway and RPF remain committed to ensuring passenger safety, security, and assistance across the network.
