GM/Training 

Set vision for the department and plan activities of the department to meet this Vision; design an effective training system for the Organization aligning with the Vision of the Corporation; enable skilling programs for departments as per their requirements; plan and design training programs for skilling personnel across all categories to enhance awareness and knowledge as per Mission of KRCL; monitor programs and activities of KRA for their effectiveness while ensuring optimum utilization of resources; plan and design programs for imparting skills training to external youth; liaise with training agencies and management institutes for exploring good and effective interventions for employees and external persons; coordinate with HODs and Directors to formulate their training requirements for the year and draw an yearly time table for the same; modulate the training programs in KRCL from time to time as per the announcements and assurances of the Hon'ble Minister for Railways and directives of the Railway Board and the Government of India; explore revenue generation through training activities.

CO / BLP

         Gautam Prasoon — INST/KRA        

  1. Conduct special Safety programs as per instructions.
  2. Plan, co-ordinate and conduct Safety workshops on specific topics.
  3. Carry out marketing for SEPS in Engineering and Management Colleges including Tier-3 IIMs.
  4. Plan, design and coordinate with relevant authorities for launching new courses under GFITT, MAO.
  5. Assist in planning and execution of GeoInfraTech 2027 Tunnelling Conference.
  6. Plan and execute signing of MoUs for training collaboration with tier-3 IIMs, IISc, and other reputed engineering and management colleges/universities and relevant industry in and outside India.
  7. Counselling Safety Staff through LEAP as per targets.
  8. Plan, design and develop aesthetic look for KRA entrance.
  9. Develop Traffic Model Room through Zonal Railways and handle all tender related documents for the same, including periodical updation of the model.
  10. Explore organizing and imparting training programmes for officials of Railways and Metro Railways from South Asian and Southeast Asian countries and coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs for the same.
  11. In charge of the Ramkrishna Hegde Skill Development Centre (RHSDC), Udupi — oversee overall development and effective functioning of the Centre, ensuring yearly targets are achieved within the stipulated time. Ms. Priya Naik, Goods Guard, posted at RHSDC, shall report to him.
  12. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the competent authorities or superiors from time to time.

KRA / Madgaon (MAO) MAO

         Shri C K Thobias — Principal / KRA / MAO        

  1. Planning, implementation of various training programs as per vision set for the department.
  2. Ensuring that all the Safety Courses are run as per Railway Board Guidelines.
  3. Issuing Competency Certificates to all safety category staff after completion of the course.
  4. Day-to-day maintenance of Training Academy, GFITT and RHSDC.
  5. Looking after day-to-day requirements of trainees staying in Konkan Rail Academy hostel.
  6. Timely renewal of contracts and arrangements for new contracts after completion of contract term; execution and monitoring as per terms and conditions.
  7. Issuing Time Table for courses to be conducted, relieving letters and results of the courses conducted.
  8. Ensuring and reporting compliance of various directives of different Ministries of Government of India and the Railway Board.
  9. All activities related to tendering.
  10. Execution of external training programs.
  11. Monitoring training programs at RHSDC.
  12. Budget handling, utilization and monitoring; proposals for Capital budget.
  13. Following austerity measures and running of training programs for outsiders to earn revenue.
  14. Follow up on progress of KRCL on Karmayogi platform and put up data from time to time.
  15. Any other duty assigned from time to time.

         Shri Mohammad Yunus — INST/I/OPTG        

  1. Preparation of Time Tables of Course nominations for nominated Department staff.
  2. Ensuring Study material & PowerPoint Presentation for nominated safety staff.
  3. Ensuring nomination of faculty in the course before commencing the course and ensuring their availability as per Time Table.
  4. Ensuring Traffic Model Room training and field visit for technical batches as and when necessary.
  5. Preparation of Question Papers, evaluation of answer sheets and preparation of Result sheets with signatures.
  6. Upgradation of study materials in Gyansagar, Training Manual on DISHA as and when amendments come.
  7. Organizing Seminars, Workshops and their arrangements.
  8. SEPS and other external training.
  9. Any other duty assigned by the superiors from time to time.

         Shri SuryaShekhar — INST/I/OPTG        

  1. Preparation of Time Table, ensuring study material & PowerPoint Presentation.
  2. Ensuring nomination of trainees before commencement of the course & availability of faculty members.
  3. Ensuring proper accommodation for the trainees during their stay in training period.
  4. Ensuring Traffic Model Room training & field visit for nominated safety staff as and when necessary.
  5. Preparation of Question Papers in Bilingual, evaluation of answer sheets and preparation of result sheets with signatures.
  6. Ensuring Rajbhasha related works & preparation of all types of Hindi reports.
  7. SEPS and other external training.
  8. Any other duty assigned by the superiors from time to time.

         Shri Dayanand Gosavi — OS/KRA/MAO        

  1. Timely releasing of Time Table, registration, attendance maintenance and arrangement of tea/biscuits for the trainees and other duties.
  2. Imprest Account, Party Code Creation in IFAS, registration of monthly bills of all contracts of KRA, fuel accountal, submission of bills, SEPS DD/CQ (MR generation) etc. to Accounts Department in time; ensuring all proper bills have been received from training agencies in time and their timely payment.
  3. Weekly supervision of KRA/MAO building and quarters allotted to KRA, disposal of unused items, monitoring of repairs and maintenance, replacement of damaged or condemned assets etc.
  4. Delegate works to Jr. OA and RHKHs and monitor the works allotted to them; coordinate with all training centres and instructors; monitoring of housekeeping of KRA.
  5. Processing all tenders through GeM 3 months before conclusion of contract, timely calling of all tenders and finalization prior to closure of existing contract; monitoring quality of work upon issuing of work order.
  6. Maintain training related figures on daily basis without errors and put up the same as per demand and schedule; coordinate and monitor data maintenance by Shri Krishna Gaonkar; updation of Shramik Kalyan Portal and uploading of proof of salary/PF details of contract staff and also on KR website on monthly basis.
  7. Timely indenting of material through Stores; maintenance of DSR for KRA.
  8. Budget preparation and monitoring the expenses, ensuring expenditure is within budget; maintain updated and compiled data regarding year-wise and item-wise Capital and Revenue Budget allocation and expenditure, producing the same promptly on demand.
  9. Work out actual training mandays up to 15th of each month and anticipate mandays for the rest of the month, discuss with higher-ups for filling up shortfall if any; put up draft MCDO with all attachments and other reports as per schedule.
  10. Look after maintenance of KRA, GFITT premises.
  11. Raise invoices for GFITT programs and ensure timely receipt of money and its accountal.
  12. Any other duty assigned by the superiors from time to time.

         Shri Rajesh R — INST/KRA/MAO        

  1. Maintain, monitor and chase RC due lists of LP-ALP; preparation of Time Table of RC and IC courses for LP-ALP.
  2. Take training sessions and conduct field visits as per Time Table; set question papers, conduct written exams and viva.
  3. Prepare relieving letters of trainees of coordinating courses; evaluate answer sheets and declare results.
  4. Plan, coordinate and conduct Safety workshops during the year for LPs and ALPs.
  5. Reception and registration activities for the SEPS program at MAO.
  6. Update all manuals and circulars related to LP-ALPs.
  7. Coordinate training programs at other stations/offices of KRCL.
  8. Monitor catering quality on every Tuesday.
  9. Sports and Cultural: coordinate in the team to organise sports and cultural events for trainees of each course.

         Shri Jalesh Nair — INST/KRA/MAO        

  1. Maintain, monitor and chase RC due lists of LP-ALP; preparation of Time Table of RC and IC courses for LP-ALP.
  2. Take training sessions and conduct field visits as per Time Table; set question papers, conduct written exams and viva.
  3. Prepare relieving letters of trainees of coordinating courses; evaluate answer sheets and declare results.
  4. Plan, coordinate and conduct Safety workshops during the year for LPs and ALPs.
  5. Update all manuals and circulars related to LP-ALPs.
  6. Coordinate training programs at other stations/offices of KRCL.
  7. Maintain and safely store answer sheets of various courses.
  8. Sports and Cultural: coordinate in the team to organise sports and cultural events for trainees of each course.

         Shri Rakesh Kumar Tiwary — INST/KRA        

  1. Plan, co-ordinate and impart mandatory safety trainings for S&T Department along with preparation of Time Table of RC and IC courses, setting question papers, conducting written exam and viva, evaluation of answer sheets, results, relieving and field visits.
  2. Maintain, monitor and chase RC due lists of S&T Department.
  3. Carry out marketing for SEPS in Engineering and Management Colleges including Bihar State Pull Nirman Nigam and IPRCL.
  4. Training program coordination at Konkan Railway routes.
  5. Plan, co-ordinate and conduct Safety workshops on specific topics.
  6. Counselling Safety Staff through LEAP as per targets.
  7. Plan and co-ordinate General Public Awareness programs at nearby schools and colleges.
  8. Conduct special Safety programs as per instructions.
  9. Updation of all manuals and records maintenance, circulars related to S&T Department as per latest guidelines of Railway Board.
  10. Monitoring and coordinate catering service and organise Sports and Cultural events.

         Shri M. N. Narayanan — INST/KRA

  2. Maintain, monitor and chase up RC due lists of Electrical Department (other than LP-ALP).
  3. Carry out marketing for SEPS in Engineering and Management Colleges.

  5. Plan, co-ordinate and conduct Safety workshops on specific topics.

         Shri Krishna B. Gaonkar — Jr. Clerk / KRA / MAO        

  1. Training Details: maintain training details for all courses and programs under training dept in various approved formats and put up data at short notice.
  2. Office work: preparation of pass and its accountal and other accountals; library book maintenance and record keeping.
  3. Training under Literacy, Computer Skill Program LEAP and Workshops: make arrangements for conduct of training programs at classrooms of KRA and Conference hall at ORH/MAO.
  4. Up-keep of KRA: daily inspect the premises and surrounding area of KRA for cleanliness and up-keep of the quarters allotted to KRA.
  5. Competency Certificate: preparation of Competency Certificate and its record keeping.
  6. Any other works as assigned by the superiors from time to time.

KRA / Bhatkal (BTJL) BTJL

         Smt. Shantala Shetty — OPTG/INST/II/KRA/BTJL        

  1. Maintain, monitor and chase RC due lists of nominated safety staff allotted for the year.
  2. Preparation of Time Table of RC and IC courses for nominated safety category and G&SR course for Operators and Supervisors of Safety Departments throughout the year.
  3. Take training sessions and conduct field visits as per Time Table.
  4. Setting question papers, conducting written exam and viva.
  5. Prepare relieving letters of trainees of coordinating courses.
  6. Evaluation of answer sheets and result declaration etc.
  7. Marketing for SEPS and soft skills program, and be part of all associated activities for successful achievement of the said target.
  8. Coordinate day-to-day logistics for SEPS at BTJL.
  9. Design Time Table choosing suitable faculty and coordinating with external faculty for SEPS programs conducted at BTJL.
  10. Plan, co-ordinate and conduct Safety workshops during the year.
  11. Updation of all manuals, circulars related to Station Masters, Train Manager and G&SR course for Operators and Supervisors of Safety Departments as per latest guidelines of Railway Board.
  12. Monitoring repairs, maintenance, safety and proper utilization of KRA/BTJL building, furniture, beddings, equipment; ensuring quality of catering arrangement for trainees; timely calling of tender through GeM minimum 3 months before closure of existing contract.
  13. Maintain all training data of KRA/BTJL; update record of Dead Stock items and indenting of store materials required for KRA/BTJL.
  14. Monitoring of catering quality from Monday to Wednesday every week and monitoring cleanliness of KRA/BTJL.

         Shri U. Raju — OPTG/INST/KRA/BTJL        

  1. Maintain, monitor and chase RC due lists of nominated safety staff allotted for the year and give details to IT Instructor at KRA by 28th of each month for updating and putting up in MCDO.
  2. Preparation of Time Table of RC and IC courses for nominated category throughout the year.
  3. Take training sessions and conduct field visits as per Time Table.
  4. Setting question papers, conducting written exam and viva.
  5. Prepare relieving letters of trainees of coordinating courses.
  6. Evaluation of answer sheets and result declaration etc.
  7. Plan, co-ordinate and conduct Safety workshops during the year.
  8. Training program coordination at KW and CO region as and when instructed by superiors.
  9. Taking introductory session class.
  10. Taking field training of Traffic Model Room.
  11. Carry out all associated activities as and when called for.
  12. Monitoring of catering quality from Thursday to Saturday every week.
  13. Coordinate in the team of Smt Shantala and RHKHs to organise Sports and Cultural events for trainees of each course at KRA/BTJL.
  14. Maintenance of surroundings of KRA/BTJL.

         Shri Shridhar Avabrath — SP/KRA/MAO        

  1. Impart training for IC/RC/Promotional, RHSDC & SEPS batches as well as Group C staff on IT and soft skill subjects.
  2. Ensure nomination of trainees before commencement of the Commercial and IT course.
  3. Take online feedback of the trainees for all batches.
  4. Update and maintain RC dues of all categories of staff.
  5. Update KR website, DISHA, and Gyansagar.
  6. Maintain data related to courses at KRA centres.
  7. Maintain all IT assets and provide troubleshooting support.
  8. Coordinate with nominated OS/RHSDC for conducting soft skill training programs at RHSDC, UD for minimum 1000 youth in the year.
  9. Market and execute SEPS training.
  10. In-charge of dashboard on Karmayogi platform and put up data from time to time.
  11. Any other duty assigned by the superiors from time to time.

RHSDC Udupi

         Ms. Priya P. Naik — GDSTMR / RHSDC / UD        

  1. Handle the lease rent matters of RHSDC premises, including processing of Expression of Interest (EOI), in accordance with the approved decisions.
  2. Maintain accounts relating to expenditure, imprest, registers, and supporting vouchers; ensure submission of all expenditure vouchers to the appointed Auditor before 31st May every year; process contractors' bills on a monthly basis in a timely manner.
  3. Visit nearby colleges for arranging batches for RHSDC and UD training programmes; conduct Soft Skills Training programmes for colleges as per the annual targets.
  4. Coordinate the conduct of the Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) and General Body Meeting (GBM), preferably during August or the beginning of September; prepare and submit the draft Minutes within two working days of the meeting and complete all subsequent documentation required for submission to the Registrar of Societies.
  5. Monitor the repair, maintenance, safety, and proper utilization of RHSDC/UD buildings, furniture, bedding, equipment, and other assets.
  6. Initiate and complete the Watch & Ward tender process through GeM at least four months before the expiry of the existing contract.
  7. Maintain all RHSDC/UD training records and data; update the Dead Stock Register and raise indents for stores and materials required for RHSDC/UD.
  8. Develop and maintain a panel of qualified trainers for conducting RHSDC training programmes on an honorarium basis.
  9. Perform any other duties assigned by the competent authority from time to time.
  10. Reporting: shall report to Shri Prasoon Gautam, Instructor, In-charge of RHSDC/UD.
