Increase frequency of trains

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to increase frequency of train no. 12218/12217 Chandigarh – Kochuveli ‘Kerala Sampark Kranti’ Express from weekly to bi-weekly. w.e.f. 21/02/2014.

1)Train No. 12218 Chandigarh – Kocuveli Express, which was running only on Wednesday every week, will now run on Wednesday as well as Friday w.e.f. 21/02/2014.

Cancellation of Trains on Konkan Railway Route

As per message received from Southern Railway, the Holiday Special Weekly Train No. 09419 between Mangalore Jn. and Ahmedabad, has been cancelled on 09/01/2014 and 16/01/2014 due to operational reason.

Passengers may note the same.

The unique and innovative RO-RO (Roll-on Roll-off) service of Konkan Railway, being run by it on its route, will be completing 15 years of its successful operation on 26th January, 2014. It was on 26th January in 1999 that the service was first started by Konkan Railway on its route on an experimental basis.

NEW LTT-KOCHUVELI TRAIN VIA KONKAN RAILWAY ROUTE

Good news for passengers !! The Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce a new bi-weekly Superfast express train between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Kochuveli. The inaugural train will be flagged off by Hon’ble Minister for Railways on 24/1/2014 at 1130 hrs from LTT as a special train. The regular service of the train will start from 27/1/2014.

Train no. 22113 will leave from LTT on every Tuesday and Saturday. Train no. 22114 will leave from Kochuveli every Thursday and Monday.

Special trains for Angnewadi Mela

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run special express trains between Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Madgaon via Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush during Angnewadi Mela.

1. 01229/01230 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Madgaon – Lokmanya Tilak (T) special:

Train no. 01229 LTT – Madgaon will leave from LTT on 12/2/2014 at 1045 hrs and reach Madgaon at 2230 hrs on same day. Train no. 01230 Madgaon-LTT special train will leave from Madgaon on 13/2/2014 at 0430 hrs and reach LTT at 1750 hrs same day.

Special Trains for Diwali on Konkan Railway route

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run special trains between Dadar

and Madgaon and another train between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Kochuveli during Diwali Festival to clear extra rush of passengers.

1) Train 02052 Madgaon – Dadar Express will run on 02/11/2013. The train will leave from Madgaon at 09.00 hrs. and will reach Dadar at 22.00 hrs. on same day.

Extra coaches for Janshatabdi Exp for limited period

Good news for passengers !! Two additional second class Chair Car coaches and One additional A.C Chair Car coach has been attached to Train no. 12051/12052 Dadar – Madgaon – Dadar Janshatabdi Express from 04/11/2013 to 17/11/2013.

Passengers may avail the same.
