HON'BLE MINISTER FOR RAILWAYS SHRI SURESH PRABHU LAYS THE FOUNDATION STONE FOR UPGRADING INDAPUR HALT STATION INTO A CROSSING STATION WITH BETTER PASSENGER AMENITIES
Taking into account the inconvenience and hardships being faced by the people staying in and around Indapur in Raigad District, Hon'ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu has laid the Foundation Stone for upgrading Indapur Halt Station into a Crossing Station for their comfortable journey on Konkan Railway Route.
Indapur Halt Station is situated between Kolad & Mangaon stations of Konkan Railway at KM 23.860 in Raigad District and will be constructed as a full fledged Crossing Station at a total cost of ` 14.58 Cr. The upgraded Indapur Station will be provided with various additional passenger amenities such as waiting hall, current ticket booking counter, covered platform shelter etc which are not available presently. This will also improve operations and throughput on Konkan Railway as the Block Section comprising of 17.38 Kms between Kolad & Mangaon will be split into two parts.
