Quick restoration

At 06:10 hrs on the morning of 24th August 2014, 08 loaded goods wagons  derailed at Karanjadi station of Konkan Railway.

Without any delay, Accident Relief Trains along with 140T Cranes were rushed from Goa on Konkan Railway and Kurla on Central Railway.

Rs.ONE LAKH EXEMPLARY FINE TO CATERING CONTRACTOR

Konkan Railway took an unprecedented step of imposing an exemplary fine of Rs. One Lakh on one of its catering contractors whose services were found deficient. The catering contractor was duly fined following complaints of poor quality of food.

Konkan Railway’s initiative in Goa to attract Migratory Birds

As a part of its CSR activities, Konkan Railway has undertaken a project at Goa which will draw more migratory birds to Carambolim lake and help in the increase of their population. The project would also beautify the area.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided by Ministry of Railways to extend the experimental halt for following trains beyond 30.09.2014 over Konkan Railway route till further advise.

As a constant endeavour and commitment to preserve environment, Konkan Railway is planting about 30,000 plant saplings along its route during this monsoon. Renowned as a railway with a scenic view all along its route which makes the journey as enjoyable as the destination, Konkan Railway is adding more green cover along its route by tree & shrub plantation on the embankment, level crossings, cuttings etc along its route

Large Number of passengers availed Ganpati Special trains …….

As the rush of Ganesh festival draws to a close, as many as 1,36,183 number  passengers have utilized the various ganpati special trains announced on KR route upto 14th Sept.

Upto 14th Sept,  a total of  203 Ganpati Special trains were run by Konkan Railway in coordination with CR and WR.

It has been decided to run AC Double Decker special train between LTT and Karmali on Konkan Railway route during Durga Puja and Diwali to clear extra rush of passengers. The details are as under :

1. Train no. 02005 / 02006 LTT – Karmali – LTT AC Double Decker special (Reserved) :

   Train no. 02005 LTT – Karmali will leave from LTT at 0530 hrs and reach Karmali at 1630 hrs same day. The train will run on October 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, and 30.

The Double Decker Special train was announced between Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Kamali for Diwali holiday period. The number of this Special train may be read as 02005 / 02006 instead of 02007 / 02008 for the services in the month of November, 2014. Other details remain the same.
