Monsoon transforms the Konkan region into a landscape of remarkable natural beauty, it also brings significant operational challenges due to heavy rainfall and difficult terrain. Keeping passenger safety and uninterrupted train operations as its highest priorities, Konkan Railway has undertaken extensive monsoon preparedness measures across its network. 

Enhancing rail connectivity and improving passenger mobility are key priorities in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister. Under the able guidance of Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Konkan Railway continues to strengthen regional connectivity and improve passenger services.

In the month of May-2026, KRCL organized 951 ticket checking drives with routine ticket checking activities, detecting 61,051 cases of unauthorized / irregular travellers. An amount of ₹ 3.70 Cr was collected from these passengers towards due railway fare and penalty.

Good News for passengers!!! It has been decided to regularise the Train no. 01595 / 01596 Karwar – Madgaon Jn. – Karwar Special Train as regular Train with new Train no. 10110 / 10109 Karwar – Madgaon Jn. – Karwar Express (Daily). Details are as under :

Train no. 10110 / 10109 Karwar – Madgaon Jn. – Karwar Express (Daily): 

Train No. 10110 Karwar – Madgaon Jn. Express (Daily) will leave from Karwar at 08:30 hrs Everyday. The train will reach Madgaon jn. at 09:45 hrs on the same day.

It has been decided to cancel and short terminate / originate the following trains due to a major block at Madgaon Jn. station on 08/06/2026 (Monday). Repercussions to Train services are as under:
