Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), the pioneer of Roll-on Roll-off (Ro-Ro) services in India since 1999, now extends this innovative freight solution to private car owners with the launch of a new Ro-Ro service between Kolad (Maharashtra) and Verna (Goa). Originally a game changer for transporting loaded trucks through the challenging Western Ghats, Ro-Ro services helped reduce road congestion, fuel consumption, and emissions. The new service offers a safe, economical, and convenient option for long-distance car travel.

Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run following special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Ganpati Festival 2025. Details are as under.

1) Train no. 01151 / 01152 Mumbai CSMT - Sawantwadi Road - Mumbai CSMT Special  (Daily) :

Train No. 01151 Mumbai CSMT - Sawantwadi Road Special (Daily) will leave from Mumbai CSMT at 00:20 hrs daily from 22/08/2025 to 10/09/2025. The train will reach Sawantwadi Road at 14:20 hrs on the same day.

Konkan Railway organized a session of its Management Insight Program on 10th July 2025 at its Corporate Office in Belapur.
