Good news for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run Train no. 06287 / 06288 Yesvantpur - Madgaon Jn. - Yesvantpur Express Special by South Western Railway in co-ordination with Konkan Railway to clear extra rush of passengers during Pongal festival season. Details are as under: 

Train no. 06287 / 06288 Yesvantpur - Madgaon Jn.- Yesvantpur Express Special :

Konkan Railway has been conducting intensive and sustained ticket checking drives across its entire route with the objective of curbing ticketless and irregular travel, and ensuring safe, smooth, and comfortable journeys for bonafide passengers.

During December 2025, KRCL organized 998 special ticket checking drives, during which 43,896 unauthorized and irregular travelers were detected. An amount of ₹2.45 crore was collected from these passengers towards due railway fare and penalties.

Through timely assistance and careful handling, a case of lost property was successfully resolved under Operation Amanat.

On 05.01.2026, a passenger reported that his laptop bag was accidentally left behind on Train No. 10103 at Thivim. The information was promptly acted upon, and the bag was traced and collected from Karmali Station. The recovered articles included a laptop valued at ₹75,000/-, a power bank worth ₹2,500/-, along with a bag and charger, taking the total value to approximately ₹80,000/-.

It has been decided to continue the extension of Train no. 22115 / 22116 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Karmali - Lokmanya Tilak (T) Weekly Express to & from Madgaon Jn. station up to 12th February 2026.
