Konkan Railway Strengthens Connectivity and Passenger Facilities Across Coastal Karnataka

The Konkan Railway corridor, which passes through coastal Karnataka, continues to play a vital role in enhancing regional connectivity and supporting both passenger and freight movement. Spanning 251.76 route kilometres from Asnoti to Thokur, the railway line traverses the districts of Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, cutting through the scenic yet challenging terrain along the foothills of the Western Ghats.

Running of additional Special trains during Summer season - 2026

Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run following additional special trains during Summer season - 2026. Details are as under:

 

1) Train no. 01019 / 01020 Mumbai CSMT - Madgaon Jn. - Mumbai CSMT Special (Weekly) :

 

Train No. 01019 Mumbai CSMT - Madgaon Jn. Special (Weekly) will leave from Mumbai CSMT at 00:55 hrs every Sunday from 12/04/2026 to 07/06/2026. The train will reach Madgaon Jn. at 15:15 hrs on the same day.

 

Running of Special Trains between Yesvantpur - Madgaon Jn. and Madgaon Jn. - Bengaluru Cantt.

Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run following Special trains  in co-ordination with South Western Railway to clear the extra rush of passengers during Good Friday & Easter 2026. Details are as under: 

 

Train no. 06271 / 06272 Yesvantpur - Madgaon Jn. - Bengaluru Cantt. Express Special:

 

Train no. 06271 Yesvantpur - Madgaon Jn. Express Special will leave from Yesvantpur at 23:55 hrs on 02/04/2026 (Thursday). The train will reach Madgaon Jn. at 17:30 hrs on the next day.
