Konkan Railway has introduced a Digi Locker facility at Ratnagiri, Thivim, and Udupi stations, effective from 16th October 2025. This initiative is aimed at enhancing passenger convenience by providing a modern, secure and self-operated luggage storage solution. 

It has been decided by Southern Railway to operate Pre - NI block for doubling of track between Thokur - Jokatte section for the work of cut and connection / insertion of new points at Thokur and Jokatte yard from 12/11/2025 to 23/11/2025. Repercussions are as under.

1) Date - 14/11/2025 : Regulation of Trains  

Konkan Railway has intensified ticket checking drives across its network to curb ticketless travel and to ensure a safe, orderly and comfortable travel experience for authorized passengers.

From April 2025 to September 2025, 5,493 special ticket checking drives were conducted. During these drives, 1,82,781 cases of unauthorized / irregular travel were detected, resulting in a recovery of ₹12.81 crore as railway fare and penalty.

Konkan Railway joined the nation in observing the inauguration of the year-long commemoration of the National Song “Vande Mataram” on 7th November 2025. The programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, marking 150 years of the composition of Vande Mataram, a song that continues to evoke deep national pride and unity.

Konkan Railway has registered a case against a passenger for the wrongful use of the Alarm Chain (ACP) on Train No. 12618 H. Nizamuddin - Ernakulam Jn. Mangala Express on 23/10/2025.

The incident took place between Diwankhawadi and Kalambani Budruk stations, where the passenger pulled the alarm chain after his mobile phone accidentally fell out of the train window. Upon the ACP being pulled, the train came to an unscheduled halt and the passenger alighted from the train to retrieve his phone from the track.
