The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Konkan Railway continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of passengers through sustained vigilance, prompt action, and people-centric initiatives.

Konkan Railway celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, paying tribute to the spirit of India’s Constitution and the nation’s ongoing journey of progress. On the occasion, Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Chairman & Managing Director, Konkan Railway, unfurled the National Flag and inspected the Railway Protection Force (RPF) contingent at Konkan Rail Vihar, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run an unreserved MEMU special train between Chiplun - Panvel - Chiplun, to clear the return rush of passengers during the weekend. Details are as under :

 

Train no. 01160 / 01159 Chiplun - Panvel - Chiplun MEMU Unreserved Special :

Train No. 01160 Chiplun - Panvel MEMU Unreserved Special will leave from Chiplun at 11:05 hrs on 26/01/2026 (Monday). The train will reach Panvel at 16:10 hrs on the same day.

Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run following special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the weekend. Details are as under.

1) Train no. 01004 / 01003 Madgaon Jn. - Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Madgaon Jn Special :

Train No. 01004 Madgaon Jn. - Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special will leave from  Madgaon Jn. at 16:30 hrs, on 24/01/2026, Saturday. The train will reach  Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 05:50 hrs on the next day.

Train No. 01129 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Madgaon Jn. Special will leave from Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 01:00 hrs, on 25/01/2026, Sunday. The train will reach Madgaon Jn. at 12:00 hrs on the same day.

It has been decided to operate an NI block for replacement of point No. 101  at Udupi station on 17.01.2026 (Saturday). Repercussion to train services are as under :
