TRAFFIC EASING UP ON KONKAN RLY ROUTE

The railway traffic congestion that had occurred between Mumbai and Goa after the derailment of a Goods train on 24thAugust, has started easing up from yesterday. Except for the long distance trains that run between Southern Railway and other zonal railways via Konkan route which will take some time for coming back to their regular timings due to late arrival of rakes, the trains between Mumbai and Goa have significantly made up for the lost time.

EFFORTS TOWARDS BRINGING EARLY NORMALCY IN TRAFFIC RUNNING

In order to correct the schedule of 50103/50104 Dadar - Ratnagiri - Dadar passenger train, It has been decided to cancel the train on 30/08/2014. Passenger may kindly note the same.

The human side of the men in uniform once again drew applause from public when the RPF of Konkan Railway recently re-united a young boy with his parents. The boy, Akash, 14 year old, who is studying in IXth class at Kundapura, was found travelling alone in school uniform in the general coach of train no. 11098 Poorna Express by the RPF when the latter were conducting a drive to prevent eunuch menace in trains.

The timings of train no. 16515 / 16516 Yesvantpur – Karwar – Yesvantpur Express and train no. 16524 / 16523 Yesvantpur – Karwar – Yesvantpur Express have been changed between Bantwal and Yesvantpur stations w.e.f 12/7/2014. Revised timings are as under :

RUNNING OF GANPATI SPECIAL TRAINS ON KONKAN RAILWAY

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run following special trains on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival in co-ordination with Central Railway.  The details are as under :-

1) Train no. 01033/01034 Mumbai CST – Madgaon Reserved special

It has been decided to attach additional  coaches  on temporary basis to the following trains to clear extra rush of passengers during the period. The details are as follows :

1)Train no. 12218 /  12217 Chandigarh – Kochuveli – Chandigarh ‘Kerala Sampark Kranti’ Express :

One additional Second class sleeper coach will be attached ex-Chandigarh from 16/7/2014 to 30/7/2014 and ex-Kochuveli from 19/7/2014 to 2/8/2014.

2)Train no. 12432 /  12431 Nizamuddin – Trivandrum – Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express :

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run one additional trip of train No. 01041 / 01042 Mumbai CST-Karmali-Mumbai CST on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival in co-ordination with Central Railway.

Train No. 01041 CSTM – Karmali Special train will now have an additional trip on 13.09.2014 and train No. 01042 Karmali – CSTM special train will have an additional trip on 14.09.2014.

Other details remains the same.
