Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run one additional trip of train No. 01041 / 01042 Mumbai CST-Karmali-Mumbai CST on Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival in co-ordination with Central Railway.

Train No. 01041 CSTM – Karmali Special train will now have an additional trip on 13.09.2014 and train No. 01042 Karmali – CSTM special train will have an additional trip on 14.09.2014.

Other details remains the same.

Passengers may kindly avail.

It has been decided to attach additional  coaches  on temporary basis to the following trains to clear extra rush of passengers during the period. The details are as follows :

1)Train no. 12218 /  12217 Chandigarh – Kochuveli – Chandigarh ‘Kerala Sampark Kranti’ Express :

One additional Second class sleeper coach will be attached ex-Chandigarh from 16/7/2014 to 30/7/2014 and ex-Kochuveli from 19/7/2014 to 2/8/2014.

2)Train no. 12432 /  12431 Nizamuddin – Trivandrum – Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express :

Extension of Yesvantpur – Karwar – Yesvantpur Express to Bangalore

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided by Railway Board to extend Train No. 16523/ 16524 Yesvantpur – Karwar – Yesvantpur Express from Yesvantpur station to Bangalore w.e.f. 15.08.2014. The details are as below :

First service leaving Karwar on 14.08.2014 will be terminated at Bangalore City on 15.08.2014 and first service ex. Bangalore City will commence on 15.08.2014.

As the monsoon is set to arrive in Konkan region, Konkan Railway has completed all its planned safety works on its route from KOLAD (after Roha station of Central Railway) to THOKUR (before Mangalore station), and is geared up for the monsoon. Special attention has been laid on geo-safety works, like flattening of slopes, rock bolting, shotcreting inside tunnels, storm water drain cleaning / lining, construction of RCC retaining walls, and loose scaling.

 FIRST PREMIUM SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN VIA KONKAN RLY ROUTE

The first “Premium” Superfast special train via Konkan Railway route will be run between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Trivandrum in this month. The train will be run in coordination with Southern Railway.

Train no. 06314 Premium special train will run ex-Trivandrum every Saturday from 10/5/2014 to 17/5/2014.

Train no. 06313 Premium special train will run ex- Hazrat Nizamuddin every Monday from 12/5/2014 to 19/5/2014.
