Running of Additional Ganpati Special Trains between Chiplun - Panvel - Chiplun Unreserved MEMU
Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to run the following additional Unreserved special trains (MEMU) between Chiplun - Panvel - Chiplun to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Ganpati Festival 2025. Details are as under.
Train no. 01160 / 01159 Chiplun - Panvel - Chiplun MEMU Unreserved Special :
Train No. 01160 Chiplun - Panvel MEMU Unreserved Special will leave from Chiplun at 11:05 hrs on 05/09/2025, 06/09/2025 & 07/09/2025. The train will reach Panvel at 16:10 hrs on the same day.
Intensive Ticket Checking Drives on Konkan Railway Route
Konkan Railway has been conducting intensive ticket checking drives on its route to curb ticketless travel and ensure smooth travel for authorized passengers.
From the beginning of the financial year 2025–26 till date, 3,765 ticket checking drives have been conducted. During these drives, 40,602 cases of unauthorized / irregular travellers were detected and penalized, resulting in ₹2,37,11,161/- through fines.
Konkan Railway Extends the Date of Registration for Ro-Ro Car Transportation Service Between Kolad - Nandgaon Road - Verna
Honouring the demand from customers, Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) services for the transportation of cars from Kolad to Nandgaon Road and Verna have been announced by Konkan Railway.
Initially, the last date for registration was set as 18th August 2025. However, taking into account the requests received from potential customers for additional time to complete their registration, Konkan Railway has decided to extend the registration deadline to 20th August 2025.
Konkan Railway celebrates Independence Day - 2025
Konkan Railway joined the nation in celebrating the spirit of freedom and patriotism with great enthusiasm and pride. On the occasion of India’s Independence Day, Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Chairman & Managing Director, Konkan Railway, hoisted the National Flag and inspected the Railway Protection Force (RPF) contingent at Konkan Rail Vihar, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
Traffic Block at Senapura Station
It has been decided to operate a Traffic Block in connection with replacement of Tongue rail and Stock rail on the Main line Km 645/30 - 645/32 at Senapura station on 14/08/2025 (Thursday). Repercussion to train services are as under:
Regulation of Train:
- Train no. 22150 Pune Jn. - Ernakulam Jn. Express journey commences on 13/08/2025 will be regulated for 60 minutes between Karwar - Bijoor section.
