Konkan Railway Commissions Karwar Traction Substation
Konkan Railway commissioned the Karwar Traction Substation (TSS), inaugurated by Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Chairman & Managing Director / KRCL. The new substation shifts 40 - 50% of the traction load from Balli TSS to Open Access billing.
With a dedicated 110kV supply from Kadra, the substation ensures over ₹2 crore in annual energy savings, better voltage stability, and uninterrupted train operations during grid outages.
Bookings of Special Trains during Ganpati Festival - 2025
The bookings for Train no. 01132 Sawantwadi Road - Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special (Bi-weekly) and Train no. 01004 Madgaon Jn. - Lokmanya Tilak (T) Weekly Special will open on 03/08/2025 at all Passenger Reservation Systems (PRS), internet and IRCTC websites.
