Temporary Augmentation during coming Festival Period

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to augment the train no. 12051/12052 Dadar – Madgaon ‘Janshatabdi’ Express (Daily) & 12432/12431 Nizamuddin – Trivandrum ‘Rajdhani’ Express (tri-weekly) on temporary basis w.e.f. 13/09/2013 to 22/11/2013 during Ganpati, Deepawali & Chhath Festival . Apart from this, Konkan Railway has also decided to provide two minute halt to 12133/12134 Mumbai CST-Manglore Express at Kundapura Station from 25.09.2013 to 24.03.2014 on experimental basis.

Running of special trains during Diwali Festival

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run AC Super Fast special train between Ahmedabad and Mangalore (Weekly) via Konkan Railway route during Diwali Festival to clear extra rush of passengers.

Extension of Goa Sampark Kranti Express to Chandigarh

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to extend the Train No. 12450 / 12449 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Madgaon ‘Goa’ Sampark Kranti Express (bi-weekly) upto Chandigarh.

Train no.12450 Chandigarh-  Madgaon ‘Gao’ Sampark Kranti Exp will leave from Chandigarh at 01:30 hrs on Monday and Saturday and reach Madgaon at 1500 hrs on Tuesday and Sunday respectively. The extension is effective from 5th August, 2013.

Running of Special Trains for Weekend Holidays

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run Lokmanya Tilak (Terminus) -Madgaon- Lokmanya Tilak (Terminus) Special Trains to clear extra rush during long weekends on 09th August and 15th August 2013 as per details given below.

Train no. 01001 Lokmanya Tilak (T) Madgaon Exp will leave from LTT at 01:00 hrs on 09.08.2013 and will reach Madgaon at 14:10 hrs same day. Train No. 01002 Madgaon – LTT will leave from Madgaon at 14.40 hrs. on 09/08/2013 and will reach LTT at 04.10 hrs next day.

KONKAN RAILWAY CARRIES OUT VARIOUS GEO-SAFETY WORKS TO ENSURE SAFETY & SECURITY OF PASSENGERS AS WELL AS PUNCTUALITY OF TRAINS DURING THE MONSOON SEASON.

Konkan Railway is always committed to the cause of Safety and Security of its Esteemed Passengers. In order to ensure safety measures before the onset of monsoon, as also to stabilize the cuttings and make the track safe to travel, KRCL has carried out various Geo-Safety Works on its route as a precautionary measures prior to on-set of monsoon this year.

Monsoon Time Table on Konkan Rly from 10th June

As done during monsoons, this year too Konkan Railway will implement Monsoon Time Table on Konkan Railway route w.e.f 10th June to 31st Oct to provide safe passage to trains during monsoon and maintain punctuality. Monsoon timings will come into effect from 10-06-2013 (i.e., train leaving from originating stations on 10-06-2013). There may be slight changes in these timings due to introduction of All India Time Table w.e.f 01.07.2013.
