Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run Superfast special train between Indore – Kochuveli – Indore during summer season via Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers in co-ordination with Western Railway.  Details are as under.

Train no. 09310/09309 Indore – Kochuveli – Indore Superfast Express

Train no. 09310 Indore – Kochuveli will be run on April 14, 21, 28, May 05, 12, 19, 26, and June 02. The train will leave from Indore at 2105 hrs and reach Kochuveli at 1910 hrs on Thursday.

The 124th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was celebrated at Corporate Office and other administrative offices of Konkan Railway today. On the occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director of Konkan Railway, Shri Bhanu Prakash Tayal, placed garland on the photo of Babasaheb and also lit candles in his memory.

As done during monsoons, this year too Konkan Railway will implement Monsoon Time Table on Konkan Railway route w.e.f 10/06/2015 to 31/10/2015 (i.e., train leaving from originating stations on 10/06/2015) in order to run the trains punctually during monsoon and avoid inconvenience to passengers. Passengers who have been issued journey tickets prior to announcement of the Monsoon Time Table, are requested to check the timings of their train well in advance as the departure timing of some trains will be pre-poned.

Due to block that will be availed by Northern Railway on 10.05.2015 (SUNDAY) between 04:30 hrs to 11:15 hrs at TUGLAKABAD station, following temporary changes will be effected :

1) Train no. 12287 Kochuveli – Dehradun Express leaving Kochuveli on 08.05.2015 and arriving   Dehradun on 10.05.2015 will be cancelled.

2) Train no. 12288 Dehradun – Kochuveli Express leaving Dehradun on 11.05.2015 and arriving Kochuveli on 13.05.2015 will be cancelled.

Position of Trains on Konkan Railway route

Rear 10 coaches of Train no. 12223 LTT-Ernakulam Duronto Express derailed at 0624 hrs today South of Madgaon, near Balli station. No casualties or injuries have been reported.

Accident Relief Medical Van (ARMV) and Accident Relief Trains (ARTs) have reached the site. Konkan Railway officials have also rushed to the site for bringing about relief and restoration.

Arrangements made by Konkan Railway

Konkan Railway has made arrangements of Breakfast, Tea, Coffee, lunch and drinking water for passengers of Train no. 12223 LTT-Ernakulam Duronto Express.

Passengers of the affected train are being shifted through unaffected coaches of the same train, through DMU, and buses have also been arranged to shift passengers.

UPDATE ON TRAIN DERAILMENT

As a special gesture to the stranded passengers of Train no. 12133 CSTM-Mangalore Exp, which was partially cancelled at Madgaon station in Down direction, Konkan Railway has arranged for full refund of fare to the passengers rather than partial refund as per extant rules for the untravelled portion of the journey

RE-RAILMENT WORK AT SITE

Konkan Railway officials are working on war footing at the affected site for bringing about an early restoration. As many as 155 labour and about a hundred KR officials, including Director (Operating & Commercial) – Shri Sanjay Gupta – and the Principal Chief Engineer – Shri Rajesh Agarwal, are at the site to attend to re-railment of coaches and restoration of the track under the guidance of Chairman & Managing Director of KRCL, Shri Bhanu Prakash Tayal.

1) Train no. 56640 Mangalore-Madgaon of 4/5/2015.
2) Train no. 12224 Ernakulam-LTT Duronto Exp of 3/5/2015

Special train will be run between Karwar and Mangalore on the path of Train no. 22635 Madgaon-Mangalore Intercity Express on 3/5/2015.
