Konkan Railway route to cater to the rush. The details are as under :-

As the monsoon is set to arrive in Konkan region, Konkan Railway has completed all its planned safety works on its route from KOLAD (after Roha station of Central Railway) to THOKUR (before Mangalore station), and is geared up for the monsoon. Special attention has been laid on geo-safety works, like flattening of slopes, rock bolting, shotcreting inside tunnels, storm water drain cleaning / lining, construction of RCC retaining walls, and loose scaling.

Monsoon Time Table on Konkan Rly from 1st July

 FIRST PREMIUM SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN VIA KONKAN RLY ROUTE

The first “Premium” Superfast special train via Konkan Railway route will be run between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Trivandrum in this month. The train will be run in coordination with Southern Railway.

Train no. 06314 Premium special train will run ex-Trivandrum every Saturday from 10/5/2014 to 17/5/2014.

Train no. 06313 Premium special train will run ex- Hazrat Nizamuddin every Monday from 12/5/2014 to 19/5/2014.

Position of Trains on Konkan Railway route

The following passenger carrying trains have been cancelled /short terminated / diverted following the derailment of train no. 50105 Diva – Sawantwadi passenger train between Nagothane and Roha section in Central Railway at 0930 hrs today. Refund will be given to passengers for cancelled / terminated trains. The details are as below:

Arrangements by Konkan Railway for Passengers

Due to the derailment of train no. 50105 Diva – Sawantwadi passenger train between Nagothane and Roha section in Central Railway at 0930 hrs today and also due to derailment of a Goods train on Hassan- Mangalore section of South Western Railway this morning, the following train will also be diverted today.

Additional Trains that will be diverted:

16524 / 16518 Karwar – Yeshwantpur Express leaving Karwar on 04/05/2014

Thirteen passengers have died and 123 passengers have been injured following the derailment of train no. 50105 Diva – Sawantwadi passenger train between Nagothane and Roha section in Central Railway at 0930 hrs today. Konkan Railway’s team of doctors has rushed to the accident site to assist Central Railway in providing relief to the injured passengers.

The number of dead and those injured is likely to change as the relief and rescue work progresses.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT KONKAN RAILWAY

Konkan Railway organized a Blood Donation Camp today at its residential colony at Navi Mumbai. The Camp was organized in coordination with ACTREC (Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer), a unit of TATA Memorial Centre. The Camp was organized from 10:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs.
