Running of Parcel Special Train
Konkan Railway is running freight trains (24/7) to meet the requirement of essential items for the public throughout the country. Transportation of critical items is going to be very important to mitigate the effects of the lockdown.
It has been decided to run parcel special train between Okha and Thiruvananthapuram Central in co-ordination with Western Railway. The parcel train will carry commodities like medicines, medical equipments, perishable items like mango and other commodities.
Extension of Cancellation of Passenger Train Services in the wake of COVID-19 Lockdown
In view of the measures taken in the wake of COVID-19, it has been decided by Ministry of Railways that the cancellation of all passenger train services on Indian Railways including Konkan Railway, that is all Mail/Express (including Premium Trains) and passenger trains shall be extended till 24:00 hrs of 03rd May 2020.
To ensure the essential supplies in various parts of the country, movement of Ro-Ro, Goods and Parcel trains will continue.

Konkan Railway is committed to run the special parcel train from KR section to various stations over Indian Railway, if volume and demand persists. The parcel train can carry essential commodities like medicines, medical equipments and other perishable items like fruits (mango) and vegetables.

Cancellation of Passenger Train Services till 24:00 hrs of 14th April, 2020
In continuation of the measures taken in the wake of COVID-19, Ministry of Railways has decided to extend the cancellation of passenger train services i.e all Mail/Express trains, premium trains, passenger trains on Indian Railways including Konkan Railway route till 24:00 hrs of 14th April, 2020.
However, freight train operations shall continue to ensure the supply of essential commodities.
Konkan Railway ensures uninterrupted supplies of essential commodities
Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, Indian Railway has suspended the operations of all passenger train services till 31st March 2020. Konkan Railway in co-ordination with Zonal Railways is operating only freight trains to ensure uninterrupted freight services for the availability of essential commodities.
Cancellation of Train Services in the wake of COVID-19
In continuation of the precautionary measures in the wake of pandemic COVID-19, Railway Board has decided that all originating Mail / Express including premium trains and all originating passenger trains shall remain cancelled till 24:00 hrs of 31/03/2020.
Inconvenience cause is regretted. Passengers are requested to kindly note the same.
Cancellation of Train services on 22.03.2020 on Konkan Railway

Relaxed Refund Rules for PRS counter generated ticket - Move to avoid over crowding at Railway Stations in view of COVID 19 and practice social distancing
In order to facilitate rail passengers in availing facility of refund of tickets along with ensuring avoidance of crowded places and practice social distancing, Ministry of Railway has relaxed Refund Rules for PRS counter generated tickets as a special case.
All rules for e-ticket remain same as passenger does not need to come to Station for refund of ticket. This relaxation is for 3 months journey period i.e from 21st March - 21st June 2020. Relaxation in the Refund Rules for PRS counter generated tickets are as follows:
