Diversion and Cancellation of Trains due to upgradation work at Faridabad New Town Railway Station.

Northern Railway has decided to take upgradation work for provision of 4th line at Faridabad New Town station on H. Nizamuddin  – Palwal section of Delhi division, due to which the following trains will be rescheduled, regulated, diverted & cancelled :
Rescheduling of Trains:
1) Train No. 22414 H. Nizamuddin - Madgaon, Rajdhani Express is rescheduled ex.H. Nizamuddin at 12:15 hrs i.e 80 minutes late on 22nd  & 23rd December, 2018

Running of Tatkal Special Trains during Christmas – 2018 & New Year -2019.

It has been decided to run Tatkal Special Train from Yesvantpur to Vasco – Da – Gama station and from Vasco – Da – Gama to Yelahanka station to clear extra rush of passengers during Christmas – 2018 & New Year – 2019 in co-ordination with South Western Railway. Details are as follows :
Train No. 06585 / 06586 Yesvantpur – Vasco-Da-Gama – Yelahanka Tatkal Special :
Train No. 06585  Yesvantpur – Vasco-Da-Gama Tatkal Special will leave from  Yesvantpur at 18:00 hrs on Friday, 28th December, 2018. Train will reach Vasco-Da-Gama at 09:10 hrs on next day.

Running of Special Trains during Christmas Festival – 2018

Good news for passengers !!!! It has been decided to run holiday special trains between Bandra (T) and Mangaluru Jn. to clear extra rush of passengers during Christmas Festival 2018 in co-ordination with Western Railway. Details are as follows :
Train No. 09009 / 09010 Bandra (T) – Mangaluru Jn. - Bandra (T) Weekly Special on Special Fare :
Train No. 09009 Bandra (T) – Mangaluru Jn. Weekly Special on Special Fare will leave from Bandra (T) at 23:55 hrs on Tuesday (on 25th December, 2018 & 01st January, 2019). Train will reach Mangaluru Jn. at 19:45 hrs on next day.

Change in the Composition of Train No. 16333 / 16334 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Veraval - Thiruvananthapuram Central (Weekly) Express & Train No. 22633 / 22634 Thiruvananthapuram Central - H. Nizamuddin - Thiruvananthapuram Central (Weekly) Express

It has been decided to change the composition of Train No. 16333 / 16334 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Veraval - Thiruvananthapuram Central (Weekly) Express & Train No. 22633 / 22634 Thiruvananthapuram Central  - H. Nizamuddin - Thiruvananthapuram Central  (Weekly) Express on permanent basis due to Standardization of rakes of Southern Railway. Details are as follows :

Running of Winter Special Trains

Good news for passengers!! It has been decided to run Winter/New Year Special Trains on Konkan Railway route, between  Pune Jn. / Mumbai CSMT / Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Thivim / Karmali / Mangaluru Jn. to clear extra rush of passengers during winter holidays in co-ordination with Central Railway.

The details are as follows:-

1) Train No. 02025 / 02026 Mumbai CSMT - Karmali - Mumbai CSMT Super Fast Special.

Revision in the Timings of Train No. 22119 / 22120 Tejas Express

It has been decided to revise the timings of train no. 22119 / 22120 Mumbai CSMT – Karmali – Mumbai CSMT Tejas  Express (5 days a week) on trial basis for a period from 02/12/2018 to 02/01/2019. Details are as follows :

A TOUR TO GOA FOR PEDIATRIC CANCER PATIENTS

Every year an excursion tour is being organised for Pediatric cancer patients of TATA Memorial Hospital by Konkan Railway, as a goodwill gesture to sprinkle happiness on the faces of the little angels. This year too, the trip has been organised  on 14th November 2018 and one AC 3 tier coach has been attached to Train No. 12133 Mangalore Super Fast Express, from Mumbai to Goa & back.

Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week on Konkan Railway

In pursuit of the vision for making a new India, the Central Vigilance Commission as the apex integrity institution of the country, endeavours to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life.


As a part of this initiative, Vigilance Awareness Week was observed on Konkan Railway from 29th  October to 3rd  November, 2018 to create awareness among the railway staff in particular and public in general about the importance of honesty and transparency. The theme of this year's Vigilance Awareness Week is 'Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India'.

Konkan Railway Adopts Regular Timetable after Monsoon

As a precautionary measure, taking into account the heavy rainfall, geographical and soil conditions as well as vulnerable sections on the Konkan Railway Route, Monsoon Timetable was adopted on Konkan Railway from 10th June to 31st October 2018 for safety and security of its passengers. Intensive footplate inspections as well as track safety inspections were carried out from time to time during the monsoon for smooth train operations. Due to this the train operations during this monsoon season have functioned efficiently.
