Good news for passengers !!   It has been decided to provide a halt to Train No. 50101/50102 Ratnagiri - Madgaon - Ratnagiri Passenger & Train No. 50105/50106 Sawantwadi Road - Diva - Sawantwadi Road Passenger at SAUNDAL (SUAL) station (new halt station) at km 260/42 between Vilavade (VID) & Rajapur (RAJP) stations.

Halt to Train no. 50105 Diva - Sawantwadi & Train No. 50102 Madgaon – Ratnagiri  Passenger will be provided w.e.f.09.04.2017

The alignment of Konkan Railway runs through Western Ghats geographically challenging terrain. Konkan Railway is engaged in train operations between ROHA – MANGALORE for a stretch of 740  kms since 1998. Konkan Railway  has made significant strides in its 26 years of existence.

Train No. 06945 Madgaon – Durgapura Bharat Darshan special on special fare will leave from Madgaon at 22:00 Hrs on 01/04/2017 (Saturday). Train will reach Durgapura at 09:15  Hrs on 03/04/2017.

Train No. 06055 / 06056 Chennai Central – Madgaon – Chennai Central Weekly Special on special Fare :-

Train No. 06055 Chennai Central – Madgaon weekly special on special fare will leave from Chennai Central  at 17:30 Hrs on every Tuesday (04/04/2017 to 06/06/2017 ). Train will reach Madgaon  at 16:00  Hrs on next day.

Central Railway will  take up Traffic block for Commissioning of Nagothane & Roha section Doubling work and Roha yard remodeling work (Pre-NI & NI Work) from 30/03/2017 to 01/04/2017. The following trains will be affected due to this traffic block :-

Duration of Traffic Block:

On 30/03/2017 (Thursday) : 03hrs (12.00hrs to 15.00hrs Traffic Block)
On 31/03/2017 (Friday)     : 06hrs (12.35hrs to 18.35hrs Traffic Block for Commissioning of  New Panel at Roha station).

Hon'ble Minister for Railways Shri Suresh Prabahkar Prabhu will inaugurate the hospital on wheels which is called  Lifeline Express at Ratnagiri Railway station remotely through video conference at 11:00 hrs of 28/03/2017.

A 33.7-km railway corridor, connecting Jaigarh Port to the Digni station of Konkan Railway, is set to become a reality.
On 25/03/2017, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra , Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Railways and Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Transport & port has laid the foundation stone for the construction work Jaigarh-Digni Rail link for developing of new railway line, connecting Jaigarh Port to the new Digni station on Konkan Rail network.
