Ministry  of  Railways  has decided to run  "Science  Express" ( an  exhibition  special train)  in  favour   of Ministry  of Science and Techonology over Konkan Railway.

Northern Railway has decided to restore the Train No. 22659 Kochuveli - Dehradun  Express leaving Kochuveli on 07/07/2017 & Train No. 22660 Dehradun - Kochuveli  Express leaving Dehradun on 10/07/2017 (which were cancelled  previously). The trains will run on the diverted route via H.Nizamuddin - Tilak Brigde - Delhi Sahadara Jn. - Shamli - Tapri Jn. Details are as under:

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided  to extend the running of train No. 02198/02197 between Jabalpur and Coimbatore to clear the extra rush of passengers.The details are as follows:-

Train no.02198 / 02197 Jabalpur - Coimbatore- Jabalpur Special train (Weekly)
Train No. 02198 Jabalpur - Coimbatore (weekly) Special will leave from Jabalpur at 11:00 Hrs on every Saturday ( from 08/07/2017 to 23/09/2017 ). Train will reach Coimbatore at 05:00 Hrs on third day.

नवी मुंबई नगर राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति की 25वीं बैठक कोंकण रेल विहार परिसर में दिनांक 20.06.2017 को कोंकण रेलवे के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, श्री संजय गुप्ता जी की अध्यक्षता में संपन्न हुई। इस बैठक के प्रारंभ में 'समन्वय' राजभाषा पत्रिका के 21वें अंक का विमोचन किया गया तथा नवी मुंबई, नराकास के सदस्य कार्यालयों के लिए कोंकण रेलवे की ओर से संपन्न हिंदी निबंध प्रतियोगिता के विजेताओं को अध्यक्ष – नवी मुंबई, नराकास के कर-कमलों से पुरस्कृत किया गया।

As the monsoon is set to arrive in Konkan region, Konkan Railway has completed all its planned safety works on its route from KOLAD (after Roha station of Central Railway) to THOKUR (before Mangalore station), and is geared up for the monsoon. Special attention has been paid to catch water drain cleaning and inspection of cuttings. As a result of the large scale geo-safety works executed along the railway line in last 10 to 12 years, the incidences of boulder fall and soil slip have significantly reduced, thus ensuring safe running of trains.

World Environment Day was celebrated in Konkan Railway on 5th June, 2017 to reiterate its commitment as environment conscious organization for sustainable growth. Konkan Railway, one of the oldest signatories of United Nation Global Compact (UNGC) has taken several initiatives towards environment protection including the unique and innovative Roll-On Roll-Off service, which since its inception in 1999, has saved about 750 lac litres of fossil fuel in addition to creating a pollution free environment in Konkan Region.
