SWACHHTA-Hi-SEWA Pakhwara on Konkan Railway
Nation will be celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi commencing 2nd October, 2018. To suitably commemorate the occasion, Konkan Railway is organizing Swachhta-Hi-Sewa Pakhwara from 15th September 2018 to 2nd October 2018
Konkan Railway, under the initiative and guidance of Hon'ble Minister for Railways, Shri Piyush Goyal, has formulated an Action Plan to bring the quantum improvement in the cleanliness at the stations and trains.
Augmentation of Coaches
It has been decided to augment the coaches in following trains to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati festival – 2018 in co-ordination with Central Railway.The details are as under :
I. Attachment of additional 2 Tier AC Coach in Train No. 12051 / 12052 Dadar – Madgaon Janshatabdi Express:
ARRANGEMENTS MADE FOR GANESH FESTIVAL – 2018
Konkan Railway is running 202 trips of special trains during Ganesh festival 2018 in coordination with Central and western Railway from Mumbai / Pune / Ajni / Ahmedabad to Ratnagiri / Sawantwadi / Zarap / Pernem / Thivim / Madgaon / Mangaluru. Additional coaches have been attached to Ganapati Special trains this year due to which the passenger carrying capacity of these Ganpati special trains are more as compared to last year.
Attachment of extra coaches to Train No. 01187 / 01188 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Ratnagiri – Lokmanya Tilak (T ) AC Double Decker Special
Good News for Passengers!!! It has been decided to attach two extra coaches to Train No 01187 / 01188 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Ratnagiri – Lokmanya Tilak (T) AC Double Decker Special, to clear extra rush of Passengers during Ganpati festival - 2018.

Flagging off Upgraded D.E.M.U. Train (Karwar - Pernem) at Karwar Station
Konkan Railway in its continued efforts and dedicated approach to community has taken various initiatives under the able leadership of Hon’ble Minister of Railways Shri Piyush Goyal by way of providing more and more passenger facilities for the passengers of Konkan region making the journey more comfortable.
The upgraded DEMU train between Karwar and Pernem has been flagged off by Hon'ble Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India Shri Anantkumar Hegde, on 04/09/2018 at Karwar Railway station.
Running of Additional Trips of Special Trains During Ganpati Festival
It has been decided to extend the periodicity and run additional trips of existing Ganpati Festival Special trains in co-ordination with Central Railway. Details are as under :

Good news for passengers !!! It has been decided to attach two AC Chair Coaches to Train No. 11085 / 11086 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Madgaon - Lokmanya Tilak (T) Double Decker AC Express to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati festival on following dates.

Provisional Result of Computer Based Test (CBT)
As a step towards transforming India to Digital India, Konkan Railway has switched over from Manual Recruitment System to Online Recruitment Procedure.
Independence Day Celebration
