Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run some more Special  Trains during Ganpati festival between Pune- Zarap-Pune, Pune- Ratnagairi- Pune and Panvel- Zarap-Panvel,  to clear extra rush  of passengers in co-ordination with Central  Railway. RUNNING OF SUVIDHA SPECIAL TRAINS DURING VELANKANNI FESTIVAL ON   KONKAN RAILWAY ROUTE

Since the inception of Konkan Railway, we are  striving hard for the comfort and care of our esteemed passengers. Additional and special train services were organised during peak seasons like summer, winter and festive seasons to facilitates Konkan Railway travellers. Due to this there has been always heavy demand  for train services to Konkan from people of konkan &  tourist  tavelling across konkan.

Good News for Passengers !! It has been decided by Southern Railway  to augment  one Sleeper Coach on  permanent basis to the following trains.  The details  are given as under :-

1.One Sleeper Coach will be attached to Train No. 22629 Dadar - Tirunelveli  Express w.e.f. 26/08/2016.

2.One Sleeper Coach will be attached to Train No. 22630  Tirunelveli JN- Dadar Express w.e.f. 24/08/2016.

3.One Sleeper Coach will be attached to Train No. 16336 Nagercoil- Gandhidham  Express w.e.f. 23/08/2016.

Taking into account the inconvenience and hardships being faced by the people staying in and around Mirjan in Karwar (Uttar Kannada) District of Karnataka, Hon'ble Minister for Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhu has laid the Foundation Stone for a new station at Mirjan, in order to make their dream come true for their comfortable journey on Konkan Railway Route.
